Scorekeeper

This is still a beta version, so you may occasionally run into a bug or something that doesn’t behave quite as expected.
All data is currently stored locally in your browser and cannot be shared between devices. Your saved games will remain available as long as you don’t delete your browsing data.
Your game is saved automatically as you enter scores. There is no Save button.
There are two limits: a maximum of 8 players/teams and a maximum of 25 rounds per game.
There are four fields for entering points in each round:
- Canastas: The total points for completed canastas, both red and black.
- Cards: The points for all individual cards played, whether they are in completed canastas or in the melds still on the table.
- Bonus: Usually only one player/team receives points here in a given round, since this is the bonus for going out.
- Deductions: Points for all unplayed cards, including your Foot when applicable. These points count against you. Usually everybody has deductions except the player or team that went out.
You can enter simple addition or subtraction calculations directly into any score field. For example, type 500+320+240-60 and the Scorekeeper will calculate 1,000 for you. Press Enter, Tab, an arrow key, or the equal sign (=) when you’re finished entering the calculation.
On touch devices, the Scorekeeper includes its own score-entry keypad. You can drag it to a convenient position, Pin it in place, change its size, choose whether the keypad appears on the left or right side of the score sheet, Minimize it temporarily, or Disable it to use your device’s regular keyboard instead.
The keypad arrow buttons move between score fields, while the smaller caret controls move the cursor within the calculation you are entering.
Open Standings at any time to see the current ranking. On desktop and tablet, the Standings drawer can also be pinned open while you continue working.
Entering a target score is completely optional. If you provide one, the Scorekeeper will notify you in the current round’s header when a player or team reaches or exceeds it. You can continue playing normally afterward.
You can change the game name, player/team names, or target score at any time. Go to Games, find the game, and select More actions → Edit.
